Steven Jordan, Member, Board of Directors
Steve is a native of Phoenix. He attended South Mountain H.S. where he played football and tennis.
He attended Brown University where he received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Civil Engineering. Steve received such honors as 1st Team All-Ivy, All-ECAC, and Honorable Mention All-America.
Steve was selected in the Seventh round of the 1982 draft by the Minnesota Vikings, where he played 13 years and was selected to play in six consecutive Pro Bowls. Upon retirement after the ’94-’95 season, he was the Vikings all-time leading receiver, and third on the NFL’s all-time receptions list for tight ends. Steve’s Viking receiving record was subsequently surpassed a few years later by Cris Carter. In October 2019, Steve was inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor.
While most of his career has been in Construction Management and Real Estate Development, Steve is currently a Director of Human Resources with Ryan Companies. He’s an emeritus member of the Brown University Board of Fellows and Board of Trustees. Steve also serves as a member of the Brown University Sports Foundation Board, The Phoenix Thunderbirds, Bankers Trust Community Board of Directors, The First Tee of Phoenix Board of Directors and the NFL Former Players Association. Steve previously served as a member of the the NFL Players Association Board of Representatives and their Executive Council.
Steve is married and has three children and eight grandchildren.
