The day’s agenda begins with registration in the pro shop and a full-service breakfast in the club house. Everyone will then move to the main grille room for a keynote presentation by the pro football alumnus of the day, former Pittsburgh Steeler John Banaszak.

He was a starter at right defensive end for the Steelers in Super Bowl XIII and Super Bowl XIV. John later played in the United States Football League (USFL), winning a championship as a starting defensive end for the Michigan Panthers in 1983. He also served in the United States Marine Corps on active duty from 1969-1971. John was inducted into the Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. In 1995, he became defensive coordinator of the Washington & Jefferson College football team. John was promoted to head coach in 1999. In 2003 he left the college as the third-most winning coach in school history to join head coach Joe Walton at Robert Morris University as an assistant coach. In 2013 he was named head football coach and remained until his retirement in 2017.

Following the keynote speech, we will conduct a brief safety meeting prior to departing to your golf cart and first shooting station. The event will field 25 groups, each comprised of four participants who will travel along a 17-station course and shoot 100 clay targets. Nonalcoholic drinks and snacks will be provided for all the participants on the course.

As soon as each team completes the course they will turn in their score cards and travel back to the club house for lunch in the main grille room. Scores will be calculated and the team photos with the days pro football alumnus will be completed during the lunch break. Every member of a shooting team will also receive a commentative full size football signed to them by the days pro football alumnus.

Prior to the start of the awards presentation, Todd Kalis, President, Pro Football Alumni will offer opening remarks and then introduce Eleni Lucido, VP & GM, United States & Canada, MSA – The Safety Company to address the group. The Executive Director of The Woodlands Foundation will follow with a brief overview of the organizations mission and goals.
